An Inspirational Poem The Difference Between Winning and Losing By Catherine Pulsifer What makes a winner? What qualities does a winner have in comparison to a loser. There are many differences that determine a person's success. Below is a short poem that shows the differences between winners and losers:
Accepting responsibility for your actions,
Taking the initiative,
Knowing what you want and setting goals to achieve it,
Seeing the big picture, and setting your goals accordingly,
Being determined, unwilling to give up
Having focus, staying on track,
Having a positive attitude,
No matter what happens in your life there is good in it.
We sometimes have to really look for the good, but it is there.
The key to success and less stress in your life is YOUR ATTITUDE!
Reading the biographies of many successful people shows that they
faced many challenges, challenges that caused stress. Many of them failed over
and over again, but they never gave up.
They dealt with the stress of failure and stayed focused on their goal.
Their attitude and determination lead them to success. To quote Thomas Edison,
"Many of life’s failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up."
"Winning is not everything, but wanting to win is." Vince Lombardi "The winners in life think constantly in terms of I can, I will, and I am. Losers, on the other hand, concentrate their waking thoughts on what they should have or would have done, or what they can't do." Denis Waitley "You were born to win, but to be a winner, you must plan to win, prepare to win, and expect to win." Zig Ziglar "Winners must learn to relish change with the same enthusiasm and energy that we have resisted it in the past." Tom Peters "Winning is habit. Unfortunately, so is losing." Vince Lombardi "Losers make promises they often break. Winners make commitments they always keep." Denis Waitley "If you don't see yourself as a winner, then you cannot perform as a winner." Zig Ziglar "Winners are people with definite purpose in life." Denis Waitley "Winners make a habit of manufacturing their own positive expectations in advance of the event." Brian Tracy
