20 Bible Verses about Blessings from God

Bible verses about blessings from God will give you peace, joy and fulfillment. These blessings speak to each Christ-follower as they travel the hills and valleys of this earthbound life. And, while we could speak of "common blessings" available to everyone on earth whether they are a Christian or not, for example, air to breathe, these Bible verses speak about "special blessings" to those who are called to follow Jesus.

Each blessing gives comfort, solace and hope as we await the arrival of the Second Coming of Jesus Christ who will judge the quick and the dead. For all Christ-followers, we know that the ultimate and unmistakable blessing of God will be our entrance into eternal life.

And, unless we are selfish by thinking that God's blessings are for our benefit only nothing could be further from what Jesus expects of us all. That is to say that Jesus expects that when we obey the second greatest commandment, which is to love they neighbour as thyself, we shall not and will not preclude sharing our God-given blessings with those around us, especially our brothers and sisters in Christ. It is the extension, giving and sharing of God's blessings that demonstrate that we are true believers and followers of Jesus Christ. It is important to remember that our actions are stronger than our words so let us reach out and bless others with the abundance that God has bestowed on us.

The words of James, in his epistle, confirm what God has given to us when he said, "Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father," James 1: 17 (NLT). You may also find inspiration in our collection of Christian poems.
