Simplicity of a Child

Short Baby Poems

Safe Keeping

Poet: Julie Hebert, ©2011

So beautiful are thee,
When babies lay sleep.
They lay there knowing,
Their parents safe keep.

Such innocence beams,
Across their little face.
Partly covered by teddy,
He's always on the case.

Our children depend,
On us for many things.
Safe keeping is essential,
Always for us to bring.

How important it is,
For our children to know
, They can depend on their parents,
To never let go.

Mommy's Sleepy Boo

Poet: Julie Hebert, ©2011

Eyes and nose red.
Tears gloss your eyes,
Time to lay down your head.

Here now take teddy,
Hold him tight.
Close those eyes,
So all will be out of sight.

Dream wonderful dreams,
Of princesses and pony's.
May they bring you happy thoughts,
And help you sleep till morning.

And when you awake,
May happiness come over you.
Mommy will be waiting,
To hug and kiss you, Good morning.
