Another Year Older
Funny Birthday Poems
Poet: Julie Hebert, (c) 2011
I must start this off by saying Happy Birthday,
To someone who's always so fun.
Its hard to believe your getting older,
But don't worry youíve still got an awfully long run.
Today your just turning a year older,
It's not like your losing your hair.
Oh wait you have started receding,
Iím so sorry your scalp is going bare.
Next you'll be seeing wrinkles,
Then comes the bodily displease.
Oh my, getting older is scary,
But I'm sure youíll age just like old cheese.
Wait, old cheese does not age very well,
I meant youíll age like old wine.
Oh really, who am I kidding?
Aging sucks and that's the bottom line!
Refuse to accept anything remotely close to mediocrity. Let go of the chains that have bound you to the ordinary. Robin Sharma, The Greatness Guide

A lot of people stop short. They don't actually die but they say, 'Right I'm old, and I'm going to retire,' and then they dwindle into nothing. They go off to Florida and become jolly boring.
Those who wish to sing, always find a song. Swedish Proverb
