To Achieve Success You can be the most brilliant person in the world, but this does not, in itself, guarantee success. To achieve success, you must be willing to put out significant effort.
Many people create stress for themselves by doing only what is necessary. They then wonder why they are not getting ahead. They become stressed out. They become frustrated. Their attitude deteriorates. With these factors in place the chance for promotion is now even less likely.
A Changing Workplace As technology continues to advance, jobs will continue to change. Companies keep the extraordinary staff over the ordinary staff. Don't allow your skills and talents to be ordinary.
Continue to improve your skills, add new skills, and become the extraordinary person! Keeping a positive attitude, not just in the good times, but in times where you may feel frustrated, will help relieve your stress.
If you don't get that promotion, then think there is a better promotion suited for you. It is all in the way you think about things, how you see a situation - do you look for the positive, or, do you focus on the negative?

One last point, remember that everything takes time, do not expect overnight success.
