Panty Hose

Recycle, Reduce, Reuse Tips
Panty Hose

by Catherine Pulsifer

Living in the country, we rarely need to wear these any more. Here are some uses we have and others have on recycling and reusing panty hose:

- Old panty hose can also be used to braid a rug.
I've also seen pictures in seed catalogues that use panty-hose in the garden as a "hammock" for large veggies, such as any melons that you don't want lying on the ground, possibly rotting.

- Rather than throwing them out, I used some of them to stuff a cushion with, they worked great!

- Panty hose work great for tying up our tomato plants.

- My Mum cuts off the legs and uses them to store onions in. Keeps the onions longer as the air flows through them.

- They make a great lint trap. We cut off one leg of pantyhose, with an elastic we attach it to the outgoing dryer duct.

If you have any others uses, we would love to add them to our ever evolving recycle, reduce, reuse list, email us.
