An Environmentally Safe Cleaning Solution Lemon Juice by Catherine Pulsifer - Mix 4 tablespoons of lemon juice to 1 gallon of water. This solution will clean windows that are just lightly soiled. - whiten your clothes by adding 1./2 cup of diluted or straight lemon juice to your wash water (submitted by Sharon) - To clean vegetables, use 1 Tablespoon of lemon juice to 2 Tablespoons of baking soda with 1 cup of water. Put the mixture in a sprayer bottle and spray the vegetables. Let sit for a few minutes then rinse. - Saving Old Pennies? Heres how to clean them: Put the penny is a cup of lemon juice with a dash of salt, let stand overnight. - To clean Kitchen Cabinets by removing the grease from the wood, use 1/4 cup of lemon juice mixed with 1 quart of hot water. - To clean brass or silver, mix lemon juice and baking soda or cream of tartar, so it is a paste with the same consistency as toothpaste. Rub onto brass with a soft cloth. Rinse with water and dry. - To shine chrome, apply undiluted lemon juice and buff to shine. - To cleaning plastic containers stained with tomato sauce, rub the discolored plastic container with lemon juice and then let them sit in the sun for a day. The sun and the lemon juice combined bleaches the plastic back to its original color.

- refresh your cutting board by cutting a lemon in half and rubbing the cut side
of a half of lemon all over your cutting board - it eliminates odors such as onions, garlic, etc

- to help relieve a throbbing headache use a slice of lemon and rub your temples and forehead with it (sumitted by Shelly)
- squeeze one lemon and add the juice to hot water, drink every morning before breakfast, helps to lose weight (submitted by Karen)
- chapped hands? mix lemon juice, rose-water, and glcerine in equal parts rub on hands morning and night
- a lemon face pack - mix 1 tbsp of oatmeal with enough lemon juice to make a smooth paste. After washing your face, put on paste and leave for 10 minutes, then rinse off with cool water
