Short Christian Poems

Brothers
Poet: Unknown

Give us, Lord, a bit o’ sun,
A bit o’ work, and a bit o’ fun;

Give us all in the struggle and splutter,
Our daily bread and a bit o’ butter

Give us, Lord, a chance to be
Our goodly best, brave, wise, and free,

Our goodly best for ourselves and others,
Till all men learn to live as brothers.

More verses about Brothers and Brotherhood:

Then let us pray that come it may,-
As come it will for a’ that, -
That man to man, the world o’er,
Shall brothers be for a’ that
Robert Burns

I sought a soul,
But my soul I could not see.

I sought my God,
But my God eluded me.

I sought my brother,
And I found all three.
