Without a friend like you,
I wouldn't be the same.
As being friends with you,
Has made me quite the dame.
You taught me very much,
Of things I didn't know.
I'm so grateful,
We became friends so long ago.
I sometimes wonder,
If our friendship will always be.
I can't help wonder,
If life will set us free.
I hope things never change,
As I always want to be your friend.
If I have anything to do with it,
Our friendship will never end.
Friendships are things that people treasure. As they say, you cannot pick your family, but you can pick your friends. The Poet here expresses her thoughts to a friend that she is thankful for. To me your something special,
Like a rainbow in the sky.
All your beautiful colours,
Brighten when you're nearby.
You also remind me of spring,
A breath of fresh spring air.
On days that I feel are difficult,
I can count on your enthusiasm to be there.
Although rain is wet and dreary,
It brings growth of some amazing things.
Without your supportive attention,
My growth may be on someone else's wings.
You've been more than just a friend,
To me throughout the years.
I like to truly thank you,
For being one of my peers.
