Bathroom Cleaning

Below you will find tips on simplified cleaning solutions for cleaning your Bathroom using products that are friendly to the environment.

Cleaning Sinks and Tubs
- sprinkle baking soda lightly on a clean damp sponge and scrub as usual. Rinse thoroughly and wipe dry. Your sinks and tubs will be clean without chemical traces.

Cleaning Combs and Hairbrushes
- mix 1 teaspoon of baking soda in a small basin of warm water. Rinse and allow to dry. This will remove natural oil build up and residue.

Cleaning Fiberglass Showers
- heat white vinegar so it is warm, then put in a spray bottle. Spray on the fiberglass shower walls and wipe with a sponge. Your shower walls will sparkle.

Cleaning the Toilet Bowl
- get rid of any rings in your toilet by using pure, undiluted white vinegar. First, flush the toilet to so that the water level will go down. Quickly pour the undiluted vinegar around the inside of the rim, and then scrub down the bowl.

To Clean your Shower Head
- unscrew the shower head and remove the rubber washer. Put the head in a pot filled with equal parts of white vinegar and water. Bring to a boil, then simmer for five minutes.

Cleaning Garbage Cans
- sprinkle baking soda in the bottom of your garbage can to help keep them smelling fresh. Then when you wash the garbage can, you have soda already there to clean the can.

Drains
-with warm water running, pour ½ cup of baking soda in the drain. This will help keep your drains odors free

Cleaning Floors
- mix 1/2 cup of baking soda in a bucket of warm water, mop and rinse clean for fresh, clean floors.

Cleaning Ceramic Tile Floors
- to help preserve the grout, mop the floors with a mixture of white vinegar and warm water. The floor will sparkle and there will be no damage to the grout.

Lightly Soiled Windows
- mix 4 tablespoons of lemon juice to 1 gallon of water

For Heavily Soiled Windows
- mix a quarter cup of white vinegar in a quart of water, works wonders!
